High Winds and Fire Danger

Strong gusty north to offshore winds will increase early Sunday leading to a spike in fire danger and the potential for aggressive growth near the Kincade Fire. Wind gusts speeds will decrease slightly into Sunday night but another round of increasing wind speeds will be possible esp. North Bay hills into Monday morning. Therefore wind advisories, warnings and red flag warnings are expected to be active until 11 a.m. Monday. Next item of note is another north wind event setting up later Tuesday into Wednesday. Currently it doesn’t look like it will match the wind speeds we’re seeing this weekend, but could be enough to warrant more PG&E outages. Stay tuned.
