Lingering Showers

We finally managed a strong Spring storm with rain totals in the .50″ to 1.50″ range and nearly 2 feet of snow in the Sierra. Even though this system will be mostly of the east of us on Wednesday, its still looking like we’ll see a few ongoing showers as a weak system dropping in on the western flank of this departing weather system keeps a few more showers going for Wednesday.High pressure should return for Thursday into Saturday, helping to literally split a system in two as it approaches the West Coast by the weekend. Some energy with break off into a cutoff low and spin nearby but just to the south of us to west of Southern California. The other half will slide by just to the north, possibly close enough to drop a few showers into the North Bay on Saturday. Our next best chance for showers may have to wait until Tuesday of next week as long range models hint at a cool trough dropping in out of the Pacific Northwest to move closer to Northern California.Enjoy your Wednesday!- Rob
