More Rain, Warming This Week

A slow moving soaker of a weather system dropped .50″ to 1.50″ on average around the Bay Area over the weekend, good enough to meet or beat monthly rainfall averages which are only about 1″ to 1.50″ by comparison. There will be a lingering slight chance for some isolated showers during Monday afternoon along the coastal mountains and interior hills, however things should remain mostly dry until late Wednesday as a weather system dives down over Northern California. This will be a much cooler weather system than the past weekend’s, so rain totals will be lower, we’ll likely see more wind as the cold front passes on Thursday. The good news is that the Sierra could see more beneficial late season snowfall before temps rise with high pressure building into next weekend.
