Muggy Drizzle and Weekend Showers

Its been an odd morning weatherwise around the Bay Area – if you weren’t dodging drizzle or spotty light rain in areas for the morning, no doubt you didn’t miss the humid/balmy temperatures – many areas started the day in the mid 60s! Warmer, moist air is being directed into the region by a series of systems that for the most part will just brush by to the north of the Bay Area. The latest system in the series due in later Saturday will bring rain chances further south. We’re expecting some rain in the far North Bay early Saturday – dropping into Sonoma and Napa counties by late Saturday. Overnight into Sunday what’s left of a weakening frontal boundary will pass through the Bay Area – good enough to bring some period of rain esp. for areas north of San Francisco. Showers should wind down by early Monday with a warmer and drier week to follow.
