Rain Chances Ahead

The first of 3 weather systems we’re watching for rain potential will spread more clouds across the Bay Area and bring a chance for isolated showers mainly near the peninsula coast northward into the North Bay. Onshore winds will continue to keep temps in the 60s and 70s around the coast and inner bay with 70s to a few isolated 80s still possible well inland. Our best chance of the 3 for rain arrives late Thursday into Friday with rain at times changing to isolated showers into Friday evening. The weekend is looking mainly dry for now, but depends on the path of our 3rd system in the series which is looking to drop down east of the Sierra. This should mean more wind and less precip potential for us, but will have cold enough air aloft to bring a chance for snow showers over the Sierra by the end of the weekend into next week. If you have travel plans to the Sierra this weekend, be prepared for some rapidly changing conditions at times.
