Rain Early, Cool and Breezy Sunday

Our second in a series of three weather systems will bring rain into early Sunday morning, though skies should clear of showers fairly quickly by midday. Highs will be in the mid 50s to lower 60s but the chilly NW breeze will probably make things feel cooler than that. Snow levels with this second weather system will drop closer to 4,000′ ft early in the day, so we’ll see if Mt. Hamilton manages some brief snow. As this system took a more over water trajectory, we’ve seen rain totals go slightly higher while snow levels have also stayed a little higher than previously expected. After a brief break from the rain we’ll see the final system in the series arrive Sunday night into Monday, bringing a chance for some rain into the morning commute. After this system moves on, only a weak system on Wednesday looks to be the only rain chance for the rest of the week (and mainly for the North Bay) as our focus will likely turn to patchy frost in the valleys midweek and into next weekend.
