Rain Returning Soon, Lowering Snow Levels

A pair of quick moving weather systems will bring rain back into the Bay Area to start the weekend, and cooler air aloft will allow for snow levels to reach their lowest point so far this Fall by Saturday night into early Sunday. Friday should be mainly dry with increasing clouds and overall a fairly cool day with highs in the 50s to lower 60s. A few showers will be possible at times especially in the North Bay, but widespread rain should hold off until after midnight Friday into Saturday morning. Rain totals should be the highest again for the coastal hills with rain changing to scattered showers into Saturday and through Sunday as another, colder system drops in. Snow levels may dip to near 3,000 ft. in the North Bay and closer to 3,500-4,000 in the South Bay at times into Sunday. Some hail may be possible under any heavier convective showers. A few more showers may be possible into early Monday as a quick moving system clips by from the northwest. Generally drier and cool continues will follow into the middle of next week.
