Rain Returns, 3 Storms in Next 5 Days

A moisture rich weather system fueled out of the subtropics (boosted in part by weakening Hurricane Seymour) is helping to add to our already impressive October rain totals. The focus of this storm will likely be on the Central Coast where the heaviest rains will fall. As the storm approaches the coast by this evening into Friday morning, we should see rain rates increase across the southern end of the South Bay and into the North Bay mountains. Rain should transition to showers into Friday afternoon with scattered showers perhaps lingering into Saturday. This will be a brief break before our second storm comes in Saturday night into Sunday. Another break comes for Monday before another weaker, yet quick moving system spills more rain into the region by Monday night, close to the end of Trick or Treat time so stay tuned…most of the rain it looks like may hold off until after midnight into Tuesday.
