Rain Chances Ahead

The week ahead will trend a little warmer and increasingly wetter by the middle of the week. Instead cold Canadian air spilling our way, we’ll see a fairly ‘zonal’ flow off the Pacific Ocean – bringing in more mild air, and a chance for showers for areas mainly north of San Francisco for Monday into Tuesday. There may be enough moisture to warrant a few showers near the crest of the Santa Cruz mountains as well due to some orographic/mountain-based lifting. By Tuesday evening winds will begin increasing as the strongest system of the week moves our way. Expect a brief heavy round of rain with gusty winds for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
