Weather Service Cancels Red Flag Warning Early

NBC Universal, Inc. Meteorologist Kari Hall has an update on air quality and warm temps after possible lightning passes through the region in the Microclimate Forecast.

Firefighters in the Bay Area received some positive news Monday morning when the National Weather Service canceled a regionwide Red Flag Warning early.

The warning, which had been issued due to dry lightning and gusty and erratic winds in the forecast, was set to expire at 5 p.m. Monday.

"Stay weather aware as weak cells are still over the North Bay; however, most moisture has moved north of our area and instability has decreased giving us confidence to let the warning expire early," the weather service said in a tweet.
