Rob Mayeda's First Forecast for Fall

Fall begins at 7:21 this morning and it will feel like it outside as cool, dry air brought in by WNW winds in the 15-30 mph range at times. Highs will likely be at their coolest of the next 7 days with temps in the 60s to upper 70s. As winds ease into Friday morning, could see some pretty chilly temps in the wind-sheltered valleys to start but warmer daytime temps back into the 80s inland. The weekend…just looks plain hot right now with a strong ridge of high pressure building into Sunday evening. Plan on 80s and 90s across the bay including San Francisco and Oakland with 90s to near 100s in reach for San Jose and inland valleys Sunday into Monday. Slight cooling again by the middle of next week as high pressure trends a little weaker again.
