Rob Mayeda's Forecast: Breezy Sunday With A Chance of Showers

Breezy Sunday with some areas of drizzle or brief light rain near the coast and bay early Sunday, then clearing to partly cloudy skies midday. By the late afternoon and evening we’ll see increasing chances for some showers moving in from the south and east. It’s not too typical to see rain chances arriving here from the east…but that’s the case with low pressure and the counterclockwise rotation associated with it moving inland just to our south. That places the Bay Area on the northern side, with the airflow moving in from the southeast to the northward into early Monday. As winds shift more northerly during Monday and low pressure moves through SoCal, we should see clearing skies and drier air moving in, shutting down shower chances later Monday.
