Rob Mayeda's Forecast: Warming Trend This Weekend

After areas of low cloud and local drizzle clear around the bay this morning, we’re expecting sunny skies and slightly warmer temps to start the weekend. Valleys will see highs in the 80s to low 90s and cooler 70s and 80s around the bay. Temps should climb a few degrees Sunday with mid 90s in reach in the hottest valleys, and likely rise into the upper 90s in spots for Monday and Tuesday. One item we’ll be watching will be what happens w/ mid to upper level moisture with Tropical Storm Ivo currently weakening west of Baja California. Starting late Monday into Tuesday we’ll begin seeing some of these clouds moving up from the south. No showers or thunder is currently expected, but you may notice a boost to humidity / muggy conditions early in the week coupled w/ hot temps could make things a little extra uncomfortable. Slightly cooler temps should return by midweek.
