Rob's Forecast: Rain on the Way, More Storms to Follow

The day is expected to start of dry, possibly with some sun at times before clouds begin filling in leading to increasing rain chances by the afternoon, ramping up late evening and overnight. As this storm will likely dive down the coast, roughly parallel to shore, we’ll be watching to see if it does track as far inland as the weather models suggest it will which should give the Bay Area a range of 0.25” totals farther inland into Solano County with higher totals for the coast and peninsula. If the low ends up as little as 50 miles west, we could miss out on those rain totals, so stay tuned esp. Wednesday morning to see if this more rainy trend holds for Wednesday evening/night. We’ll see showers on Thursday then a more certain forecast for Friday as a classic Winter storm curls up off the coast and sends some gusty wind and heavy rain our way into Friday night and early Saturday. Look for more rain possible again on Sunday with the coldest storm in the series which could drop snow levels down to the higher peaks of the Bay Area by Sunday night and Monday morning.
