Rob's Forecast: Showers Continue Sunday

While stronger, wetter storms have moved on…the Bay Area will still see a blend of cloudy skies, occasional showers and hopefully a little sun toward the end of the day for Sunday. Rain totals should be mostly light (generally below 0.25”) but it will require having an umbrella at the ready at least into Sunday evening. We should see a break in the showers for Monday but wind and heavier rain are expected to return later Tuesday and off/on through the day Wednesday. This will be another “atmospheric river” type storm but the focus (for now) appears to be aimed more into the Central Coast down to SoCal. We may see some higher rain totals around the Santa Cruz mtns or near Monterey with this event compared to the super soaker for the North Bay last week. Rain totals are expected to stay out of the double digits range but still may lead to localized (non-river) flooding at times midweek with rain in the 2”-3” range for the hills and 0.75” to 1.50” at lower elevations.
