Showers Possible Soon

We’ll see cooler and breezy conditions for Friday as a weather system begins moving our way from the Pacific Northwest. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s, down from the 70s seen yesterday with WNW winds 15-30 mph.Isolated showers become possible later in the day, especially near the hills as more moisture begins to move into the region.Odds look better on Saturday for scattered showers and possibly a few thundershowers at times as much cooler air aloft coupled with daytime warming below works to destablize the atmosphere. With snow levels near 4,000 ft. its likely any stronger convective showers will include some hail at times as well. The most likely areas to see showers will be near the coastline and Santa Cruz mountains. Skies should trend a little drier and warmer by Sunday before one more relatively weak system renews a chance for some showers on Monday. – Rob Mayeda
