Smoke, Warmer Temps Ahead

Onshore winds helped drop valley temps into the 80s for the first time in nearly 10 days for the Tri-Valley. Monday should see similar temps before things trend a little warmer by midweek as high pressure makes a brief comeback. Southerly winds aloft will continue to bring areas of smoke into the Bay Area, mainly across the South Bay and East Bay through midweek. As a relatively strong trough of low pressure by August standards sets up later this week, we’ll see cooling temps, more wind and a wind shift that should push more of the Soberanes Fire smoke to the east of the Bay Area.
