Some Rain For Easter

We’re tracking two weather systems that will virtually rewind the weather calendar back into mid February with relatively low snow levels, gusty wind at times and three day rain totals approaching more than 1″ in spots. For Easter Sunday, we’ll see the weaker of the two systems with brief rain at times, breezy and cool conditions with a few sunny breaks at times. Highs will be mainly the 50s to low 60s. Showers should taper off into Sunday evening and most of Monday as the next storm system arrives with gusty southerly winds arriving first followed by briefly heavy, widespread rain into early Tuesday morning. Cooler air aloft could set the stage for brief thunder, especially with the Tuesday system. Showers should taper off into early Wednesday morning and by Wednesday afternoon we should see clearing as high pressure begins to rebuild. Drier and warmer temps should wrap up the week.- Rob Mayeda
