Some Sunday Showers

An upper level system offshore is helping to direct mid-level moisture over the Bay Area as we wrap up the weekend, this is bringing a chance for some showers and enough cloud cover to help drop temps slightly to wrap up the weekend.A chance for isolated thunder is also possible closer to the coastline at times, and based on satellite imagery its looking like the chance for showers may continue into the afternoon. A brief break and some clearing is expected by late day allowing temps to rise into the 70s to 80s for most of the Bay Area with a few 90s still possible in some inland valleys. While low level winds remain onshore and westerly, higher up mid-level winds will continue to transport in more monsoon moisture through about Tuesday. By midweek, winds should be more in allignment with a WSW airflow aloft limiting monsoon moisture more to our east and over the Central and Southern Sierra.
