Storm Arriving For Halloween

We’re seeing a mostly dry start to the day with some sunshine, but things will rapidly change by midday as a fast moving storm sweeps in on Halloween. The faster timing of the storm is a trick for evening Trick or Treat plans for sure but a real treat for our statewide drought and Bay Area rainfall averages in the 200-400% of normal range as of this morning. Today’s storm will spread rain into the area by afternoon with wind increasing ahead of the cold front passing through by late evening. Rain will change to showers that should rapidly decrease into Tuesday morning. Drier and warmer weather is expected to return for most of the week. After recent soaking rains, patchy dense late night and morning fog may become an issue as high pressure builds in.
