Stormy Saturday, Drying For Sunday

A storm tapping into subtropical moisture sent rain totals into the 3″-4″ range in the Santa Cruz mountains and along the hills of Marin County. We’ll see a few lingering showers possible near the hills into early Sunday though things should trend drier and fairly cool to finish the weekend. We’ll see increasing clouds late on Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and cool temps continuing into Monday. Rain should return on Tuesday with another system bringing rain around Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday. The weather pattern later next week could get pretty chilly as our fairly mild southwesterly flow is replaced by a much cooler northerly wind pattern which will have less moisture to work with (think scattered showers vs. widespread rain) but air cold enough to support snow levels below 4,000 by next Friday so stay tuned.
