Stronger Storm Soon

After a chilly and calm start to Monday, we’ll have a chance for a few scattered showers at times into the afternoon as clouds and winds increase ahead of our next storm system. Some rain at times is possible in the North Bay before the cold front dives south across the rest of the Bay Area overnight into Tuesday morning.Winds will accelerate to 20-30 mph ahead of the storm, starting by Monday afternoon and remaining gusty overnight. Widespread heavier rain should change over to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms behind the cold front during the day Tuesday. Snow levels should be quite low, possibly down to the higher peaks around the Bay Area at times. Hail is also very likely with any stronger convective showers. Showers should begin tapering off Wednesday morning with drier and warmer weather set to return for the second half of the work week.- Rob Mayeda
