Summer Sizzle Continues

Temps are set to climb into the 90s and 100s for the third straight day as our heat wave nears its midway point. A heat advisory is up once again from 11am-7pm with a few spots having a chance to rise a couple degrees higher than Tuesday’s highs which included: 104 Livermore, 96 San Jose, 95 San Francisco & Oakland. Most of the longer range weather models are hinting at the development of a weak sea breeze and some building of the marine layer by Friday, but any cooling benefits will likely be confined to the coastline. We will manage more cooling by the weekend under increasing clouds and likely increased humidity as moisture streaming away from a weakening Hurricane Linda moves in from the south. There may even be enough moisture around to warrant some shower chances later in the weekend, so stay tuned. As an upper level system sweeps ashore next Monday, onshore winds will bring our temps back down to a more comfortable range again.
