Rob's Forecast: Windy Sunday, Low Snow Levels Ahead

A cold weather system will drop into Northern California on Sunday with increase increasing through the day to 15-35 mph, and the air will certainly feel much cooler as highs will be dropping into the 50s and lower 60s about 10-15 degrees cooler vs. Saturday. Showers will be possible at times as well, especially near the coast and North Bay hills increasing in coverage into Monday. As the air aloft cools to freezing near 1,500’ ft its possible our isolated showers may yield some snow at times along the higher hills or brief sleet mix down to near sea level with any stronger convective showers. Overall, the precip totals look fairly low with this weather system but widespread cold temps will be experienced by all. By Monday night as winds ease, valley temps will likely fall into the 20s, possibly warranting some freeze warnings across the region.
