Mild Weekend, Rain Returns Next Week

We’ll see another chilly start to the day Sunday with some patchy frost possible for some wind sheltered inland valleys before highs climb into the 60s and possibly a few low 70s for Sunday. Changes begin Monday as we see a brief increasing in northwesterly to north winds esp. North Bay mtns which will need to be watched for elevated fire danger. Gusts don’t look as strong as previous events, and these dry winds won’t last as long. Thankfully we’ll see increasing humidity and rain chances to follow on Tuesday. This should be the most rain we’ve seen in more than 6 months, or since May 18th! You will also notice how much colder the air feels as highs stay in the low 50s from Wednesday into next weekend. Snow showers will be possible to near 3,000’ with a risk of hail or isolated thunder from showers midweek. We should see less showers toward Friday and early Saturday before more rain becomes likely again by next Sunday.
