Rain Returns Sunday

Another frosty start to the morning Saturday with inland temps into the low to mid 30s again, though daytime temps should rebound nicely back into the mid 50s to near 60. Clouds will rapidly increase after sunset with rain now starting earlier on Sunday and rain estimates are also going up higher with 0.25” to 0.75” for most of the Bay Area with some typically wetter coastal mountain sites seeing 1”-2” from this storm through Sunday night. As before, there could be a slight chance for isolated thunder (esp. near the coast) with some hail, which we will watch closely as things develop Sunday. As this storm drops into Southern California, snow levels will be dropping as well, possibly impacting mtn highways leading into the region. So Saturday looks to be the better travel day for sure.
