Rob's Forecast: Hazy & Warm Inland

While heat advisories have finally expired around the Bay Area, we’ll still see temps into the 80s and a few lower 90s inland to wrap up the weekend. Meanwhile near the coast, increasing low clouds and a deepening marine layer will ensure cooler conditions with some drizzle at times. Smoke from the Willow Fire burning to the south is likely to drift northward again today. Most of it will be upper air smoke making for hazy skies, but less of an impact on local air quality, where unhealthy levels of particulate matter pollution should remain confined closer to the fire. We will see cooler temps inland especially for the valleys from Monday-Wednesday with ongoing chances for drizzle at times near the coast and late night and early morning across the Bay Area. Another significant warming trend is likely approaching next weekend as strong high pressure builds in to our north.
