Windy & Rainy Sunday

Heavy rain at times is expected from mid morning into the early afternoon as a strong cold front races through the area. Rain totals should be in the .33″ to 1″ range across the bay/valleys with totals in the 1″-2″+ in the coastal mtns. While rain changes to showers and some clearing into the afternoon, plan on the wind being an all day event. Gusts to 50 mph+ will be possible near the coast, hills and inner bay with a wind advisory up through the day. Isolated thundershowers will be possible as well both along the cold front’s midday passage and the unsettled cool air environment to follow for the afternoon. Showers should decrease in coverage and intensity by evening with drier conditions returning for Monday
