Windy Start to the Week

A deepening area of low pressure east of the Sierra and high pressure to the west helped boost wind speeds across the Bay Area to wrap up the weekend. Though wind speeds should be less strong for Monday, plan on breezy and relatively cool conditions to continue for another day. Snow showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the Sierra, so plan on changing conditions and Winter-like driving conditions at times through midweek. Some rain is likely to return late Tuesday night into Wednesday then high pressure is expected to build fairly strongly approaching next weekend where highs could soar into the 80s inland as we start May.
