Technology has produced a fruitful union between one of television's most outlandish personalities and one of hip-hop's most outspoken rappers.
Seattle-based graphic artist John Harper took it upon himself to mash up the semi-lucid utterances of "30 Rock's" Tracy Jordan (played by Tracy Morgan) with the real-life Twitter posts of rapper-producer Kanye West, often with hilarious results, reports Entertainment Weekly.
To achieve the effect, Harper simply began adding the words "Liz Lemon" to the front of any Kanye tweet. The results can be found by checking the mash-up Twitter account known as "kanyejordan."
A few of the highlights so far: "Liz Lemon...ninjas are kind of cool...I just don't know any personally," and "Liz Lemon, I wonder what happened to my antique aquarium."
The marriage between the two works unusually well because of the quirky and erratic elements of Jordan's character and the seemingly random and bemused statements from West, who still appears to be fascinated by the nature of the medium.
It's not the first time that West's missives have been recontextualized. Shortly after he joined the microblogging service, enterprising users mashed up his tweets with New Yorker cartoons, identified by the hastag #KanyeNewYorkerTweets.
