Michael Hurley was born and raised in the Boston area, and he's lived and breathed sports his entire life. After accepting that he'd never make it as the shortstop of the Red Sox, he ventured into sports media, covering the local teams since 2009. He's been in the building for five Super Bowls, a pair of Stanley Cup Finals and two World Series at Fenway Park while also earning an honorary master's degree in Deflategate. He's made appearances on NBC Sports Boston since 2016 and joined the digital team in 2026.
A truly washed-up athlete, Michael lives in the suburbs with his wife and three daughters, where he obsesses over his lawn and occasionally tries to remember how to play the drums.
