Help Feed Low-income Families

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano is dedicated to improving access to fresh produce for our low-income participants through a direct distribution program called the Community Produce Program. Fresh produce will be distributed at specific community locations Tuesdays through Saturdays. Volunteers are needed to assist at each site. Individuals may volunteer at one site or multiple sites; each site should take approximately 1 1/2 hours.

When: Tuesday through Saturday; shifts will be 1-2 PM, 3-4 PM, and 5-6 PM

Where: Brentwood, Antioch, Pittsburg, Bay Point, Concord, Martinez

Event max # of Volunteers: 3-4

Type of Work: Site Volunteer: Assist with registering and signing in clients, help direct pace of distribution, communicate produce limits, may assist the Nutrition Educator and help with translating if bilingual

Items to Bring: sunscreen during summer, bottled water
