Find the recipe below. **HEIRLOOM APPLE ALMOND CAKE RECIPE** -Measurements Butter for greasing springform 9-inch baking pan. 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus a bit to flour the pan 3 cups peeled, cored and grated organic apples (such as fuji and honey crisp). Drain out liquid before adding to mixture. 1 cup almond flour 3/4 cups of vegetable oil 3/4 cup of melted butter 2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup of sliced almonds -Method Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9-inch springform pan. Beat the oil, butter and sugar together in mixer for 5 minutes. Then add the eggs and vanilla and beat at a medium speed until they are combined and creamy. Sift together both flours, salt and cinnamon and baking soda and stir into the batter. Add grated apples and blend. Transfer batter into prepared pan and cover the top with almond slices. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick interested comes out clean. Cool in pan before turning out. Serve at room temperature with a drizzle of Apple Cider Syrup over each slice with a side of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. **Inspired by “Teddie’s Apple Cake” from Jean Hewitt.
