38 Years In Prison For San Jose Father Who Molested Daughter

A San Jose father is reunited with the law after 11 years on the lam.

Justice took 14 years to catch up with Rodrigo Calvario Solano, who fled to Mexico after he molested one of his daughters.

Now the San Jose man, 46, will spend 38 years in prison, according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.

In 1999, a 12-year old "school girl" ran crying into a church, where she told nuns that her father -- who was waiting to pick her up from school -- had repeatedly sexually assaulted her, according to the district attorney.

When police were called, Solano fled to Mexico with his four-year old daughter in the car.

The daughter returned home in 2000 but Solano stayed at large. He was arrested in Mexico at a barbecue restaurant, officials said.

Solano is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 10, 2014.
