Crews Prepare for Final 49ers Game at Candlestick Park

City crews worked on prepping stadium chairs and the field for Monday's night home game against the Atlanta Falcons.

For many, they painted their last logo at Candlestick today.

"I’m going to miss it," painter Jose Alvarez said. "I love painting those logos."

Some workers have been painting the 49er logos on the field for decades--and with pride.

"We always take pride in the appearance of it," Candlestick Groundskeeper Roger Revel said. "Always try to prepare the field like it was a championship game, every time."

The 49ers will likely play their final home football game this Monday night.

San Francisco will celebrate the stadium with farewell events, all leading up to its implosion next year.
