Police were investigating a suspicious death in South San Jose late Thursday.
The incident was reported at 1:48 p.m. in the the 900 block of Knollfield Way, just east of the Almaden Expressway. Officers who arrived on scene located a dead woman in the area.
Neighbors were a bit shaken to see investigators streaming in and out of the home for hours into the night.
"Normally, this street is really quiet." Beth Worcester said. "So seeing this many police officers on our street is just kind of bizarre."
There were no obious signs anyone tried to break into the home, and police did not reveal who found the body and called for help.
No other information was immediately available.
