St. Mary's Students Alerted to Report of Sexual Assault

Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault on the Saint Mary's College campus in Moraga over the weekend.

Investigators said a man who is not a Saint Mary's student sexually assaulted a female student in her dorm room between the hours of 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday.

The victim and suspect met off-campus on Friday night prior to the assault, according to campus police. The victim later went to a hospital, where staff reported the crime to police.

School officials were notified of the assault this morning, according to the college's office of public safety.

The suspect is described as a white man who is about 21 years old. He is roughly 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes.
