A woman is dead after being shot by San Leandro police in Oakland, near the San Leandro border.
Oakland police dispatchers tell NBC Bay Area that San Leandro officers fired shots at around 10:30 last night, after a car chase ended near Durant and Bancroft Avenues.
It is unclear if the woman was one of the people inside the Jaguar car being chased by officers.
Oakland police say the chase started in San Leandro, and ended when the Jaguar crashed into a parked car, and a light pole.
No police officers were injured.
