Firefighters in Santa Rosa Tuesday morning extinguished a blaze in a garage that contained a small medicinal marijuana growing operation, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 553 Flower Ave. at about 12:15 a.m. Responding crews found a small fire and smoke coming from the roof of a detached two-car garage.
Firefighters confined the flames to the garage, and the blaze was under control within 18 minutes, fire officials said.
The fire caused an estimated $20,000 in damage.
The garage was unoccupied when the fire broke out and no one was injured.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation, but fire officials said it appears to be accidental.
