Severe weather could affect almost 50 million Americans from Wisconsin to Ohio and Kentucky on Monday, forecasters warned. Heavy rain, lightening, and high winds are likely, according to the Weather Channel. In several counties in Wisconsin tornado sirens were sounded. Central Illinois was also at high risk of twisters. The severe weather was predicted to move southeastwards to Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas late Monday.
