Vanderbilt Cuts 4 Football Players Over Sex Crime Investigation

Four players on Vanderbilt's Commodore football team have been dismissed and suspended from the university over a sex crimes investigation, NBC News reported. The interim suspension was “effective immediately, pending further investigation and/or a hearing,” according to the university. The players, whose names have not been released, are not allowed to return to campus without permission from the office of student conduct and academic integrity. The crimes allegedly occurred in a campus dormitory, and the Wndy police department is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
