A's Vs. Tigers Lineups: Mark Canha, Chad Pinder Inserted Into Outfield

Mark Canha and Chad Pinder have both shown A's manager Bob Melvin they deserve more playing time. Clearly, the skipper is paying attention.

Both players are starting in the A's outfield when the A's face the Tigers in Detroit on Friday. Canha came off the bench and went deep in Thursday's 17-3 win to add a sweet cherry on top of a blowout win.

The big fly was Canha's fourth of the season. Despite batting .208, he now has an .840 OPS this year.

Pinder, who plays all over the field, is batting .270 with three home runs.

The A's will hand the ball to starting pitcher Frankie Montas, who has served as the team's ace this year. Montas, 26, is 4-2 with a 2.78 ERA over eight starts.
