Jared Dudley: Kevin Durant 'changed the whole outlook of the league'

Jared Dudley is one of the best personalities in the NBA.

He is very active on social media and is a frequent guest on various podcasts.

On Tuesday, he spoke with ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

"Kevin Durant's decision (to join the Warriors) changed the whole outlook of the league," Dudley declared. "GMs and owners are really thinking, 'Do we really have a fighting chance to go after this?' Because they're (the Warriors) in their prime now.

"Are we gonna wait until they lose one of these guys or two of these guys to this luxury tax where they can't pay 'em? If Draymond leaves, or if Klay leaves, where 'Hey, let's go after them when they're 29 or 30."

Klay is under contract for two more years -- $17.8 million this season and just under $19 million in 2018-19 -- before he is scheduled for unrestricted free agency.

[POOLE: Teams will continue to call about Klay Thompson and Warriors will keep laughing]

"I hope to be here my whole career," Klay said last month.

Draymond won't become a free agent until the summer of 2020.

As of now, the Warriors' luxury tax bill for the 2017-18 season is expected to be around $30 million.

And the luxury tax payments will continue in subsequent years.

But last year, Golden State reportedly finished with the second highest net income -- $91.9 million.

And the privately-financed Chase Center will open for the 2019-20 season...
