The Lumia 710 isn't the only Nokia smartphone coming to the U.S. Intel points to AT&T getting a larger and faster variant of the Windows Phone 7-powered Lumia 800, rumored to be called the "Ace" or "Lumia 900."
PocketNow has the scoop and says that the Ace will have a larger form factor with a 4.3-inch screen as opposed to the Lumia 800's 3.7-inch display (which I found to be quite the sweet spot in terms of size). Resolution will remain the same at 800x480.
In fact, other than the bump up in screen size, the Ace will have virtually the same specs as the Lumia 800. Same single-core 1.4GHz, 512MB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango software.
However, the battery will get a bit larger with the body upgrade — 1830mAh — up from the Lumia 800's 1450mAh battery.
As said, the carrier will be AT&T. Based on prior rumors and AT&T's internal testing of the Lumia 800 with 4G LTE on AT&T, it's likely that the Ace will have 4G, whether it's LTE or faux-g (HSPA+).
In my Lumia 800 Review, I said that the hardware was superb, but Windows Phone 7 just didn't settle in (even after a few weeks of use). Would a larger Windows Phone 7 smartphone convince you to buy a Nokia again?
