Even David Arquette thought he went too far with the deets on Howard Stern.

Arquette, 39, apologized Wednesday on his Twitter account for having “shared too much” about his sex life with estranged wife Courteney Cox on shock jock Howard Stern’s satellite radio show a day earlier.

During the interview, Arquette revealed his wife of 11 years had stopped having sex with him months ago and had told him she was sick of being his “mom.”

The actor said Cox’s decision to separate “breaks my heart” and he’d been going to therapy to “grow up.”

While Arquette told Stern he’d never cheated on Cox, he said he’d hooked up with a waitress while separated from the "Cougar Town" star.

Amid a collective eyebrow raising in the wake of the interview, Arquette tweeted a thank you to his supporters Wednesday and added that he was still trying to figure out “how to be the best person I can be.”

“But it's been a process of trial and error,” he wrote. “I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing but while doing that I shared too much.”

He went on to say, “it's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled.”

“Life is a process of spiritual evolution,” he tweeted. “I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we've learned.”

One person Arquette did not need to seek forgiveness from was Stern, who called the actor an "honorable man" Wednesday on his XM/Sirius radio show.

"He handled himself very well," Stern said, E! Online reported. "He didn't hide away in his house. He went on a legitimate show and spoke his mind and it was refreshingly honest. Anyone who heard it knew he was being honest. He was on to explain why he was in pictures with another woman. It was already in the news."

Arquette and Cox announced their separation Monday in a joint statement to entertainment media.

The Tinseltown staple met on the set of the 1996 slasher flick “Scream” and tied the knot three years later. They have a 6-year-old daughter together, Coco.
