Robin Quivers, Howard Stern’s longtime radio co-host, underwent a procedure Wednesday to remove a tumor the size of a grapefruit from her bladder, MSNBC reported.

Stern spoke about his sidekick's absence on Wednesday's satellite radio broadcast of "The Howard Stern Show.”

"Doing a show without Robin is like cutting off my left arm. Or my right arm. Or maybe both," Stern said, according to examiner.com. He called his wing-woman of thirty years “perfection.”

"She was my backbone, you understand," Stern said. "Where I would lose courage, Robin always had the courage. She always is the brave one. Always the brave one with me. I could go to her, and I could always rely on her.”

A strict vegan, Quivers had been tight-lipped about her procedure and gave no details about her return date.

"I know as much as the audience does," said HSS media producer JD Harmeyer about the newscaster, examiner.com reported. "Clearly she doesn’t want the full details of what’s she’s going through on out on the air, because she hasn’t given the full details and I think the less people here who know the full details, the better chance she will have of them not spilling out.”

Quivers broke the news about her medical condition during the May 15th edition of her SiriusXM show, revealing that she had to wear a catheter, according to E! Online.

"So when you see me, I'm peeing," she said. "It just constantly goes, and I'm wearing a leg bag…It's a growth.  It's a mass…Hopefully it can be cut out."

Stern vowed at the time to give up his radio career if Quivers didn't return to the broadcast.

"I'm not doing the show without you," the newly appointed “America’s Got Talent” judge said. "By the way, I'm quitting if you're not doing the show."

"Oh, don't make me cry," Quivers told him.
