Demi Lovato: Not Being Treated for Drug Problems

Though Demi Lovato is in rehab, representatives for the singer are pushing back against rumors that she is being treated for a drug problem, reports People.

"Demi Lovato is not in treatment for drug or alcohol addiction," said a spokesperson for the teen singer. "As we have said since she entered treatment last week, Demi decided to seek help for emotional and physical issues she has battled throughout her life. She has taken this step in order to get her life in order."

On November 2, Lovato abruptly dropped out of the South American leg of a tour with the Jonas Brothers due to what a rep for the star called "emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time."

The singer, 18, is currently at a facility that specializes in treating young and adult women with a variety of issues, including eating and mood disorders and substance abuse issues.
