“Alps” Trailer, From Director of “Dogtooth,” Arrives

"Dogtooth," from director Yorgos Lanthimos, was among of our favorite films of 2010, and it's been with great anticipation that we've awaited his follow up, "Alps." Today we finally got our first proper taste.

Here's the synopsis for the film, which Lanthimos has promised will be is "darker and funnier. It goes to each extreme a little bit more." Yikes:

A nurse, a paramedic, a gymnast and her coach have formed a service for hire. They stand in for dead people by appointment, hired by the relatives, friends or colleagues of the deceased. The company is called Alps. Their leader, the paramedic, calls himself Mont Blanc. Although the Alps members operate under a disciplined regime demanded by their leader, the nurse does not.

"Alps" will be showing at the Venice International FIm Festival
