Emails obtained by NBC's Investigative Unit chronicle multiple disturbing incidents of neglect in United's PetSafe service. The whistleblowers worked for an outside company contracted by United at a major airport bub to handle and shelter animals between flights. The emails detail incidents of animals whose crates arrive upside or damaged. In at least one incident, an animal arrived deceased in its kennel.
