>The vacant JCCSF restaurant space finally has some action, as it's been officially announced that Joanna Karlinksy of old Meetinghouse fame will be opening a new food court on the ground floor. It will be called The Meetingplace, has a prospective opening of November 15th, and will involve multiple eateries, with each small concepts having "its own identity, menu and uniqueness." Among the concepts mentioned in the press release: Jo-Jo-To-Go, Confections (a full service bakery), Lucky Dawg (an upscale ice cream and frozen yogurt bar); Pressed (hot pressed sandwiches); and Emma Peel's Pizza Pie.
